Trans-Atlantic Flights

Start checking the Internet for flights as early as January, for best fares. Compare fares into the following airports :

  •  Paris CDG
  •  Bordeaux  BOD
  •  London HRT
  •  Lisbon

Getting to Bergerac

  •  From Paris CDG Airport: Take the TGV ( bullet train ) leaves from inside the airport to Bordeaux or Libourne.
  •  From Paris Montparnasse train station: Take the TGV to Bordeaux or Libourne.
  •  From Bordeaux or Libourne: Take the local train (TER) to Bergerac – Sarlat train stops in Bergerac.

NOTE: When you arrive in Bordeaux or Libourne you have to go through a tunnel under the tracks. If possible I suggest to get your ticket in Paris or here in the U.S. that way you can go directly to the track for your train……track is VOIE in French.
* Libourne is the station before Bordeaux…..We can arrange for me to pick you up there

In all the stations there is a yellowish/ orange metal post by the door to the trains, where you are supposed to ” validate” your ticket before getting on the train

From Bordeaux airport…..there is a shuttle to the train station….follow as above

From London :take a regular British Air from Heathrow to Paris or Bordeaux or Take Ryan Air or FlyB or any of the smaller airlines directly to Bergerac, from Stansted or Gatwick.

I will be in Bergerac to pick you up……remember to send me your arrival times !
